I recently moved to west Cork having lived in various countries around the world for many years, including the past five years in China. My family has been coming here for years and two of my kids have businesses nearby. West Cork and the Bantry area have a lot to offer besides its warm welcome and its community spirit – its proximity to Cork and the airport is an added bonus for frequent travellers.

I normally spend a number of weeks each month travelling in Europe or Asia so when I’m in Ireland I use my home office. However, since the onset of Covid-19 and with restricted travel I found myself working full time from home. Once I heard of Bantry Bayworks I immediately signed up for a desk. For me it’s great to be able to get out of the house and head to an office. I’m used to meeting and being around people. Bantry Bayworks brings an element of normality to my working day and helps to separate work and home life. Seeing and interacting with others breaks the routine of being at home all the time.

The people at Bantry Bay Works are great to deal with, flexible and it’s very attractively priced. The space itself is very well laid out and modern, with plenty of windows and natural light. It’s located right above the new SuperValu which acts as the go to coffee station and offers plenty of parking and views over the inner harbour. The location also allows me to stroll into town at lunch time or take a walk by the water and recharge on sea air whenever I want. If you’re looking for space in the area, I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. When we get back to normal I will continue to use Bantry Bayworks as my primary base with my home office as a backup.
